ANGEL MORENOA NOTE OF CLARIFICATION
I was never with the Armed Forces Police. The picture displayed above was taken in front of entrance to the 1st Battalion, 26th Marines (Hill 55) compound near Danang while I visited my brother, Mario, for a few days. I totally forgot about the AFP Jeep being in the background until almost forty years later after I got the picture from my brother. At that time I was stationed with the 3rd Force Logistics Support Groups in Quang Tri Province. My brother later served at the Battle of Khe Sahn in Quang Tri Province just below the DMZ. I apologize if the picture of me standing in front of the AFP Jeep gave some the impression that I was with the Armed Forces Police.
I served two tours of duty in Vietnam; Chulai (1966-1967) and Quang Tri Province (1968-1969). I was placed on the Temporary Retired List in 1969, for injuries sustained during my last Vietnam tour, and received my 3rd and final Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps on December 31, 1972. I left the Marines as a Staff Sergeant.
